What are the credentials of the tutors?

Both Phil Pinnington and Phil Hirst were trained by the BBC. Phil P went on to present for BBC Radio Merseyside before founding the Ariel Trust which trains young people for a career in radio. He went on to form his own media training consultancy and has maintained his client base for fifteen years. Phil H owns his own video production company ABC Television and a TV production company, Planet X where he has been at the forefront of new technology. Keith Thompson has, for twelve years, worked as a public relations professional for National Museums and Galleries on Merseyside, Corporate Culture and Chester College.

Where will the courses be held?

At the Ellesmere Port Technology Centre, an initiative spearheaded by the local Business Link with a brief to act as training centre. It is ideally situated for access from the M6, M56 and M53 motorways

Do you do courses for specific companies?

Yes, as well as the courses we offer bespoke training services for companies. We would design scenarios to reflect the specific business. For this kind of arrangement, we believe 6-8 people is an ideal number. Contact us for details

How will I find the venue?

Click here for access to the multimap site

How practical are the courses?

When we set up the partnership, we were at pains to emphasise that the courses must have added value . People must go away with knowledge and skills which could be used from the very next day. Theory is for text books.

Could I chat to one of the tutors before deciding whether to book?

Yes we would be pleased to chat to you. Don't forget that we are based at the Virtual Business Centre in Chester on 01244 394206 but our business often takes us to far flung resorts (we wish!) so our mobile phone numbers are 07976 356260 (Phil Hirst) or 07932 493893 (Keith Thompson) or send us an email

Is there any other information?

We are confident that most of the information you need is down here on the web site. Obviously the more in depth information will be available on the courses. There is also a leaflet we can send you but the information is broadly the same as the web site.

What happens if I need to cancel my booking?

We offer a full refund but all we ask is that you contact us a week before the date booked so that we can offer your place to someone else. We never go over the maximum of 30 per course so if you cannot make it, it would give us a chance to offer a place to someone on the waiting list.
